Three levels of .rs domain name protection

RNIDS is currently the only top-level Internet domain registry offering three levels of domain name protection, to users of the .RS and .СРБ national domains: Secure Mode, Client-Side Lock and Registry Lock.

All of these options have been implemented in the new RSreg 2.0 domain name registration system, and as of 1st January 2017 have been made available to registrants via RNIDS registrars. The security solutions that have been employed prevent abuse by cyber-criminals by locking down critical domain operations for protected domain names.

These attacks, whereby the attacker takes over control of a domain or changes its registration data, result in downtime for online services or in users being redirected to services controlled by the attacker.
