Telnic has listed the official launch scheme information for the .TEL domain name registrations.
1. Sunrise Period - opens at 15:00 GMT on December 3rd 2008; closes at 23:59 GMT on February 2nd 2009. Sunrise will be open for holders of registered national trademarks. To qualify for sunrise period, trademarks must have been applied for prior to May 30th 2008.
2. Landrush Period - opens at 15:00 GMT on February 3rd 2009 and closes at 23:59 GMT on March 23rd 2009. Open to anyone. Any TEL domain name that is not taken during Sunrise period will be eligible for Landrush on first come first served basis at a premium price.
3. Open Period - domain names for general availability. Opens at 15:00 GMT on March 24th 2009. Open to anyone at a regular price if any good domain names are left after the two previous periods.
Closer to the Sunrise term start date Telnic will publish the list of participating registrars. Pre-registering your .TEL domain names with any other registrar not listed would be more than stupid.
