A host of major brands are calling for ICANN to stop or rethink its plans to revamp the gTld naming system.
According to Broadcast & Cable magazine, as picked up by DNJournal.com, and as confirmed by ANA itself, the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), in a letter to ICANN CEO Dr. Paul Twomey, called the proposal premature and counterproductive. ANA represents over 9,000 brands that annually spend $100 billion on advertising and marketing.
